Welcome Dr. Albert Lee!

Dr. Albert Lee joins our Global Markets Healthcare Division

We are pleased to share that Allied World recently added senior clinical professor, Dr. Albert Lee, to its Global Markets Healthcare Division as Medico-Legal Consultant. His role will include advising and consulting clients in the healthcare industry to help reduce risk exposure.

Dr Lee most recently retired as Clinical Professor of Public Health and Primary Care at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Founding Director of the Centre for Health Education and Health Promotion. Albert is an accredited mediator (CEDR) and was admitted as lawyer by NSW Supreme Court, Australia, and barrister and solicitor by New Zealand High Court. He also serves as Honorary/Adjunct Professor, external examiner/assessor at many leading academic institutions in Hong Kong and overseas. He is an international member of U.S National Academy of Medicine and an Honorary Fellow of UK Faculty of Public Health.

Albert obtained his Medical Degree (MB BS) (UCL-Middlesex) in 1984 and the Law Degree (LLB) from the University of London in 2015. He was awarded higher academic and/or professional qualifications in Family Medicine, Public Health, Legal Medicine, Law, Arbitration and Mediation, and Education including doctorate degree in Medicine (MD) and also MPH from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK); Fellowships from Royal Colleges in Australia, Ireland and UK; Chartered Institute of Chartered Arbitrators, Australasian College of Legal Medicine and American College of Legal Medicine; Master of Law with distinction (LLM-Arbitration and Dispute Resolution) from the City University of Hong Kong; and Master of Professional Study and Research in Education from Bristol University. He completed the legal practical training at Australian College of Law and was awarded Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice with distinctions in 2020 and admitted as lawyer by NSW Supreme Court, Australia in March 2021. He is in the process of obtaining D.Med by National University of Ireland (highest degree in medical field by the University equivalent to D.Sc) by published work (passed the prima facia stage).
